Talk is Cheap, and so is Being “Nice”
Audio Download

Welcome, Dear Ones.

Let’s start with a moment of stillness — a breath… Let the noise settle.

We live in a world full of noise—opinions, declarations, social media posts, arguments, promises, apologies, intentions. So much talk.

But I’ll say this clearly, as many have said before: Talk is cheap.

But you—your time, your spirit, your life—are not.

Anyone can say what they believe, or at least what they want you to think they believe.

Anyone can declare how spiritual or self-aware they are.

Anyone can talk about their healing, their love, their goals, their dreams.

But the real test of all that talk? It’s in the life they’re actually living.

Talk without action is nothing more than performance.

Talk without effort is merely manipulation.

Talk without transformation is just more useless noise.

People can post about healing all day—but what are they actually healing?

People can talk about being ready for change—

but when it comes down to it, are they willing to do the hard, humble work of becoming different?

People can say they love someone—but are their actions creating safety, freedom, and peace in that person’s life?

Words are easy. Too easy.

Breath is free—it costs nothing.

Sound is ample—yet it is empty.

But action? Consistent, quiet, behind-the-scenes action?

That is sacred. That is currency. That is what actually moves the needle in your life and in the world.

We are not here to sound enlightened—we are here to become more honest.

We are not here to say the right things—we are here to align ourselves with truth.

We are not here to impress—we are here to transform.

And transformation? It doesn’t happen in public.

It happens in the choices no one sees.

The moment you choose patience when you’re tired.

The moment you clean up your own mess instead of blaming someone else.

The moment you stop talking—and start walking.

You don’t need to defend who you are.

You don’t need to convince anyone of your worth.

Let your actions speak for you.

And when they do, let them say something real:

“This person is consistent.”

“This person is growing.”

“This person can be trusted.”

“This person lives what they say.”

Of course—action is significantly harder than talk.

It costs something. It costs time. It costs humility. It costs accountability.

But it also delivers something talk never can: self-respect. integrity. and most importantly—change.

So ask yourself today:

Not “What am I saying?” but “What am I actually doing?”

Not “What do I believe?” but “How do I behave?”

Not “What do I want?” but “What am I building?”

Your words are only as valuable as the life they inspire.

So let’s be people of our word—not just with our mouths, but with our movements.

Let’s make our lives a sacred offering, not a polished performance.

Talk is cheap. But your walk—your steady, honest, imperfect walk—is holy ground.

Let’s walk in truth and reality.

And while we’re talking about truth, let’s go a little deeper.

Because there’s another kind of talk that gets passed off as virtue.

And that’s this pressure to be “nice.”

You know what I’m talking about.

That pressure to always be agreeable.

To never make waves.

To always speak sweetly.

To never challenge, confront, or express anger.

To pretend like nothing bothers you.

To stay “positive” no matter what.

And let me say this: Nice is not the goal. Real is.

We are not here to silence ourselves in the name of being polite.

We are not here to trade our authenticity for acceptance.

We are not here to deny our sacred fire in order to make others feel comfortable.

Being spiritual doesn’t mean being soft-spoken all the time.

Being evolved doesn’t mean avoiding conflict.

Being kind doesn’t mean being silent when harm is happening.

Kindness comes from love. Niceness comes from fear.

Kindness says what’s real, with respect and compassion.

Niceness avoids what’s real to avoid discomfort and rejection.

But you don’t owe anyone false peace.

You don’t owe anyone a watered-down version of your truth.

You don’t owe anyone your silence when your soul is screaming.

You can be direct and still be loving.

You can be assertive and still be compassionate.

You can be honest and still be spiritual.

Real spirituality includes your fire.

It includes righteous anger.

It includes boundaries.

It includes saying no.

It includes accountability.

It includes full, messy, beautiful, powerful truth.

Let’s stop worshipping “niceness” as a spiritual virtue.

Let’s stop pretending that silence is peace.

Let’s stop calling suppression “enlightenment.”

Because the world does not need more agreeable people.

It needs more honest ones.

It needs more awake ones.

It needs more people willing to take real action, speak real truth, and do real healing.

Let your voice be clear. Let your boundaries be firm. Let your walk be true.

You are not here to perform a version of yourself that’s acceptable to others.

You are here to become the whole, powerful, liberated version of yourself that’s in alignment with your soul.

And that doesn’t require you to be nice.

It requires you to be real.

So let us walk boldly. Speak clearly. Live truly.

And let our words mean something—because our lives prove them.

And so it is.

Amen.
